(Q - Apollo: you didn't use the red envelope?)

MB : we all know today that everything is based on the floppy disk, what happened to the red envelope we are in confidential defense, for me everything is based on the floppy disk.

(Q - Apollo: the problem is that the floppy disk was not sealed)

MB : what does that change? It's been 30 years. I'm talking about a period - in 2004 - when the Chouette d'Or was seized due to the bankruptcy of a printer. Dozens of things have happened which create gray areas and mysteries. I can't solve them since until recently I had no knowledge of the solutions or of a number of elements of the game.
From there, everything I do today is a “clean hands” operation. That is to say, I clear doubts, I try to eliminate them by saying “I checked”. It’s Pile-hair. It matches exactly with the book, with the puzzles, the super-solution. Everything is fine, everything works, there is a solution, a super-solution even, it is there and it is not elsewhere, no possibility that it is elsewhere. So all the Tomb Raider fantasies, the envelope that will self-destruct, a false solution, we have to stop with this bullshit. It saddens me to see this, it's an unhealthy relentlessness that doesn't concern me. If someone really wants to dig, they're not going to hurt me. It is not about me that things will be revealed that it would perhaps be more pleasant not to reveal, but it is about Max Valentin that it will fall.
Max Valentin is a mythical character, today we can say a character from a novel. I want to preserve him, his family, the quality of this hunt. He did a very good job. All my steps aim to create around all this a shield against slander and against anything that could demolish the image of this hunt, and unfortunately the attitude of the A2Co goes completely against mine at the moment. I think it's unconscious. I think they didn't understand the debate.
It's not easy for me to explain it because I don't want to - and can't - say everything. I was very at war with Max Valentin at one point, you have to understand me. I entrust a Gold Owl for which I paid 1 million Francs, and I am told "if tomorrow you do not send your lawyer to Paris, the day after tomorrow the Owl is lost", that's for sure that it didn't make me happy. So I couldn't be happy.
But beyond this animosity that had developed between us, Max Valentin was the one who created the hunt, the enigmas, I brought a certain poetry, a mystery. Between the two of us we created a work which is - I find - super interesting. It is on the way to becoming legendary and is a reference practically throughout the world. So I don't want to break that.
