17/08/2022 - Enregistrement n° 39 - part 1 - 59:10: Introduction of Father Méhu - Discreet winks

(Q - Apollo: question about Father Méhus, in the introduction (with the chapters) are there elements that would allow us to orient ourselves in the hunt or is there no nothing to dig into in this introduction?)

MB : I know that this is a big topical subject, I have always said and I will not change anything about myself, that this text was the first version of hunting, its introduction as planned by Régis Hauser , as he had imagined it. some explained that it was his way of explaining to future participants what they would have to do, how it happened, and setting the scene for them. This is still my opinion, I am always and absolutely convinced that there is only one possible solution to this game, whether it is in the form of Père Méhus or Chouette d'Or changes nothing. So in the introduction of Father Méhus, there are elements...the mode of operation of Max Valentin is in the allusion, in the evocation, he was a real villain at that level and that's why you struggle with riddles, he chose the words. And in the presentation of Father Méhus, I consider that there is, what I will call it... it's light, don't imagine that there are important things, there are a few winks but honestly today, I think there are little allusions, things like that but in no case things explicit enough to help players. So I would say don't dwell too much on this text, I think it was concocted to get the adrenaline going, to make people who read this want to take part in the story. It was both a literary and a marketing approach.
There are some allusions, we can find an echo, when we know the solutions, we can actually say there is a little wink, something but in my opinion it is not explicit enough for you to be able to pull something in the position you are in.

(Q - Apollo: knowing the solutions, by reading this text, you confirm that there are still nods, to the zone for example?)

MB : a little wink is a little wink but today we are not debating winks. I know that you and I have not always been on the same page, maybe not quite yet, but I hear from you that you are on the mend, I hope that goes well at the end. All joking aside when I talk to you about winks, don't give my words a double meaning, I'm very direct and frank, I'm telling you it's winks, it's cute, it's funny when you know the solutions but it won't help you, frankly don't try to dig into it, you won't find any revelations, none.
