(Q - stomoxe: I have a difficult question, it has been said that the owl is harder than Malbrouck, do you think that a 15 year old child could calculate a shadow carried like in Malbrouck with the mountain and all that, is it still complicated?)

MB : yes, yes, it was complicated, especially since it was an idea that was suggested by the cool people, and then taken up like many others. I don't think a 15-year-old could do that and it seems to me... besides, if I remember correctly, I saw that in treasure hunt stories, I don't remember which ones, but the story of the cast shadow (I'm not talking about organized hunts, I'm talking about a novel) I read that in certain novels,... it's an idea which is not new but which does not seem to me not very accessible to a 15 year old child indeed.

(Q - stomoxe: so ultimately how is this hunt harder, frankly when we read Malbrouck's solution, it's frankly complex and there we hear that the owl is even more complex. For you what makes it more complex?)

MB : so complex is perhaps not the most appropriate term, I would say that the Chouette d'Or was made 15 years before all the other hunts that Max Valentin was able to produce or co-produce or have produced. in other words, it was a personal creation of Max Valentin, an idea, a marketing project of Max Valentin and on the other hand everything he did afterwards, everything he produced as a treasure hunt after the owl, he did it with a completely different knowledge of the subject since he had already integrated many answers to the players' questions to which he responded with these curses, but the questions on cast shadows, on various and varied theories, all He used that again later.
Which means that all the hunts he produced after the Chouette d'Or were constructed hunts, built with knowledge of the clientele he was addressing, since in fact he took up the ideas of the players and with knowledge also of the impact that the enigmas could have on the public concerned, which they did not know, which they were totally unaware of when they played the owl.
So I'm not saying that the owl is more complex, I would even be tempted to say the opposite, but it is more complex for the players to solve because they... a lot and I read that regularly , when we see all the hunts that Max has produced, there is this, there is that, there has always been... yes but okay but he produced them 15 years later.
There is no correlation between the owl and other hunts, none.
