08/05/2023 - Vocal n° 58 - 19:20 : Cards - Resolution without 2nd card - tools

(Q - Aladore: here, I might have a question that could actually get everyone to agree. Basically, my question is the following, could we resolve hunting without the 2nd map, whether digital or paper?)

MB: today, yes. In 1993, I think that many may have had the 2nd card reflex by saying to themselves, well I feel something about the 989 at the time, but I need to clarify, there were other means, already in use. 1993, there were other ways eh? And today ? Today, pfff, the 2nd card is almost...we can practically forget about it today.

(Q - ??: we therefore also exclude calling for example the Tourist Office which has a map in front of it. That's completely stupid, that's saying Well no for nothing , we call for a 2nd card.)

MB: wait, there are thousands of you, I read thousands of messages, I can tell you that you are all very different, there are very different reactions. I have already said it, there are people who appear here when they express themselves as being very square, very sure, very thing and when they write to me, it is very different.
There is really at a mental level, individuals are very different from each other. It is entirely possible that some people need comfort with this or that tool, whether it is a map or something else, and others do not.
So for me, I'm careful not to give... say today there's no need or it's, it's like we talked about the compass a certain number of times.
I consider that a compass is essential. I had it in my pocket and I was very happy. Others will say yes, but I didn't need it, certainly they will be able to do the same thing as me, which is what the player who attacks the super solution or the final solution must do.
He will do it with a compass, without a compass. Some will pick up things, will be able to transpose them in their heads and will not need to comfort themselves with a magnetic needle. And then, and then others yes, so there is no absolute principle on these things, and that's what is dangerous, to say the map, you have to buy it, the compass there is no you don't need it, you need a compass, you need sardines, you need string. You need this, you need a lamp, you need a big lamp, you need a small lamp. I mean, everyone feels it as they want, we are…, these are not elements that are significant. Well, there's no point worrying about this kind of stuff.

(Q - ??: well when you look at the solutions, do you have the impression that the author wanted the inventor to take a 2nd card? Do you think that the the author's intention, when you see the solutions, you say hey, there, I think he would have liked him to take a 2nd card or was it more...the author Max?)

MB: the author, when he created his hunt, did not have the slightest intention, he only had hopes. He hoped to sell it number one, he hoped it would work number 2.
He didn't have the slightest intention. Or maybe his only intention is to make money with it. You still have to put yourself in context, good evening! We are talking about a communicator who ultimately sells a product to a customer. Don't give me the intentions of a guy who fantasized about being a great creator of treasure hunts. This was not his intention at the time.
His approach at the time was to create a marketing product that he could sell and with which he could make money. That's why I'm killing myself to tell you, look who Max Valentin was and I'm not trying to sully him, or diminish him, or anything at all. I think this boy made some great discoveries, I think he had some strokes of genius in the story. Everything else is another matter. But above all I think that it went to his head and that through the character of Max Valentin, he diluted, he transformed, diluted all his intentions or all these initial objectives.
Everything changed because he didn't expect it, he didn't know what would happen, he didn't know it would be a gold owl, he didn't know it would cost 1000000, he didn't know anything of all that. So it was made at the same time.
So don't think in such a way that your presuppositions would be that there was initially a brilliant designer who had planned everything, who had anticipated everything. He was a sorcerer's apprentice. Like me and like many others in history.
That puts things into perspective.
