13/08/2022 - Enregistrement n° 38 - 20:10 : Difference between trap and false trail

(Q - Capédépé: you have often spoken recently that there were no false leads, and at the same time that there were traps in the enigmas and I would like to know if you can clarify again the difference between a trap and a false trail please?)

MB : listen I think the difference has been clearly established by the owls themselves, a track is something driven for a while or it's a dead end but you quickly realize that. A false trail is something that is constructed, which by definition leads you to walk, we will use it like that, since we are talking about a trail, to walk for a moment in a direction that is not the right one. Good. In that these are things that happen, we cannot deny that they happen in the game obviously, otherwise there would not be people in different places in France, but for all that these are not elements that were premeditated, calculated in advance, that's my point.
But today false leads do indeed exist, initially there were traps, the traps are mostly... there are two kinds of traps in reality, it's with hindsight we can talk about it like that, it there are the traps which are induced in the wording of the puzzles and that was the author's will, the choice of words, the weight of the photos as Paris Match would say, and then in the visuals there is the use that Max Valentin made my visuals and that means that my visuals have taken on, my paintings have taken on an importance, undoubtedly greater, than what they should have had and what was planned at the start.
